Marathon for a Vital cause 

 

 

Pune, India. 17th January 2005 - A  team  from  Vital  Link  Outsourcing,  an  ISO  certified  non voice  BPO located at Mayfair Towers, Wakdewadi, is running in the Pune Marathon for a charitable cause.

Employees, Vendors and Business Associates of Vital Link Outsourcing are also contributing to raise funds to extend help to poor, physically challenged individuals. Joining them in the effort is the Masonic Lodge Leslie Wilson who was the first to pledge a handsome amount.

The charity collection is going to be utilized for corrective surgery and fitment of artificial limbs for poor patients at the Army's Artificial Limb Center at Wanworie. Vital Link Outsourcing has already begun short- listing the names of the eligible patients who have been referred to the Army centre.

The  team of 4 executives  from  Vital  Link  Outsourcing  have  been preparing themselves for the last 3 months and are taking part in the 10 Km open men's segment.

Mr. P. Venkat, CEO, who is leading the team said, "I was reminded of the quote, 'I cried because I had no shoes, until I saw a man who had no feet.' While well-of runners buy athletic shoes that would require an Equated Monthly Installment, there are so many who are immobilized and cannot earn a decent living, due to paucity of funds. I thank my team and all contributors for enthusiastically supporting my idea."

Shrikrishna  Airole,  Secretary  Lodge  Leslie  Wilson  added,  "Charity  is said  to  be  the distinguishing  characteristic  of  Masonry  and  when  P. Venkat a fellow Mason approached us we enthusiastically responded. It is all for a good cause and we wish Venkat and his team all the best."
